Compiling Linux SDK to Support PRU Cape

I am looking for documentation on the subject of adding in PRU Cape support for the TI EZ SDK Ver  1.00.00.00. In particular, I am finding no information on the following;

1) Adding the PRU Cape device tree (overlay??) into the SDK.

2) Getting the SDK to compile the kernel w/ all device trees required for the target.

I did find the following file in the examples folder, but I cannot find any docs on its purpose, or if it should be copied anywhere.

Kernel Build (General)

In general, the documentation for the SDK seems very sketchy, very little info on how to setup to compile the kernel... are there any default configs now for PRU support?

I have these references so far...

(This topic might have helped but it is now out of date) - https://e2e.ti.com/support/arm/sitara_arm/f/791/t/389259

Any additional info on Getting the PRU Cape up and running (on Linux!) would be greatly appreciated.
