DM8168 SPI BOOTMODE NOT WRKING

From what I understand, you are trying first to flash the SPI through CCS/JTAG then boot from this SPI flash, is that correct?

Are you sure your SPI flash procedure is successful? Are you aligned with the below wiki page?

Up to connecting the JTAG using that method but for loading the u-boot (not u-boot.noxip.bin.spi) image into RAM using the the following method:
1). Run the scripts -> DM816x External Memories-> DDR3_796MHZ_doall
2). Run-> Load->Load Program->Browse(u-boot).
3). Press F8 for Resume
and get the console, here by loady tool loading the u-boot.noxip.bin.spi at 0x81000000
then
sf probe 0:0
sf erase 0 0x40000
sf write 0x81000000 0 0x40000
after successfully writing in SPI, switched off the board and changed the boot mode (10110, 4:0) but does not boot.

I also verified the write image through command
TP_SED_VC_UBOOT#mw 0x82000000 0xff 0x40000
TP_SED_VC_UBOOT#sf read 0x82000000 0 0x40000
TP_SED_VC_UBOOT#cmp 0x81000000 0x82000000 0x40000
word at 0x81040000 (0xe1fbb3d5) != word at 0x82040000 (0x000000ff)
Total of 65536 words were the same
TP_SED_VC_UBOOT#

Those logs are same in all broads even in the TI netra's RDB, 2 custom broads and RDB working fine and not working in the 3 custom boards.

Problem is that whenever changing the boot mode switch in SPI board does not load u-boot image in DDR.

Please suggest me how to resolve the issue.

Why this mix up method (mix between CCS/JTAG method and u-boot method) is used? Can you try with one of these two methods:

1st method is to flash the SPI through CCS/JTAG:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TI81XX_PSP_UBOOT_User_Guide

2nd method is to flash the SPI through u-boot (no CCS/JTAG involved)
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TI81XX_PSP_UBOOT_User_Guide

Thus we can better isolate the issue.

 In two boards both methods processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TI81XX_PSP_UBOOT_User_Guide and processors.wiki.ti.com/.../TI81XX_PSP_UBOOT_User_Guide

are working fine. We are checking our hardware assembly issue in rest 3 boards.

One question i have regarding ezsdk linux kernel issue, presently we are using 2.6.37 version, is it possibility to change with linux kernel version 3.12.

If any sdk is available with 3.12 kernel or any possibility to change with kernel version 3.12, please let me know.
