Host Error Interrupt of AM335x EMAC

Hi,

I have a question about AM335x EMAC.

The question is about EMAC Host Error Interrupt, which is written at AM335x TRM(spruh73l)page.1916 "14.3.1.3.4.3".

It said "The host error interrupt is intended for software debug, and is cleared by a warm reset or a system reset".

I thought warm reset is hardware reset, so does it need external reset to clear the host error interrupt?

Or can it be reset by the following software reset?

SOFT_RESET Register of CPSW_WR Register which is written at TRM page.2179.

Hi g.f,

Warm reset sources are described in section 8.1.7.4 and Table 8-25 of the AM335X TRM Rev. L. The CPSW SOFT_RESET Register is not one of the warm reset sources.

Thank you for the response.

So, Warm reset can be assserted by software(SW Warm Reset) and hardware(Pin Warm reset), is it correct?

From Table 8-25, it seems that both Pin Warm Reset and SW warm reset can be used for clearing Host Error Interrupt.
I understand that setting RST_GLOBAL_WARM_SW bit of PRM_RSTCTRL register will
assert the Software Warm reset, is it correct?
