Hello,

I'm triing to use the DCAN module on Jacinto 6 with the VAYU EVM.

Can someone provide me a simple example of how to use the DCAN driver with linux (soketCAN) .

You can refer to following links, the best thing is refer to can-utils you can find the code for it on googling you just need to compile and use it.

Thanks Lad,

I try to take advantage of your patience asking you if it exist the possibiliti to set the CAN bitrate by a call to setsockopt(..) or ioctl(..) or with other function, because I'mable now to send on CAN but I configure it with canconfig can0 bitrate while I need to set bitrate from application.

Hi,

what you can do is call ip [1] command from your c application using the system() call which is available in C.
for example:

system("ip link set can0 down");
system("ip link set can0 type can bitrate 500000 triple-sampling on");
system("ip link set can0 up");

Note replace the can interface with your CAN interface and replace the bitrate accordingly you want.
