What's the newest kernel version about the board am3517_evm?

The latest TI distributed Linux SDK for AM35X can be found here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html This is kernel v2.6.37.

thank you for your reply, Is there newer linux version? such as linux3.4, linux 3.12 or linux 3.14? i have found some newer patches in mailine about am3517, so ti still do some support for am3517, have you some new version for am3517, " : software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html This is kernel v2.6.37" it is too old.

My information from the TI Linux team is that at the moment there are no new releases planned for AM35X.

you can just try upstream U-Boot and kernel.

First of all you'll need to clone the latest U-Boot repo and apply this patch (patchwork.ozlabs.org/.../500239). This will give you Device Tree and FIT image support.

Then download latest stable kernel sources (for example www.kernel.org/.../linux-4.1.3.tar.xz) and compile kernel with following arguments:

make -j zImage am3517-evm.dtb

At the end you'll get both zImage and am3517-evm.dtb files.

thanks for your reply , i have done it as your setup， i can boot it with this build image,
unlucky there is still a lot of miss for peripheral, such as lcd, touch , i2c, mmc detect an so on.

if you know a stable higher linux version for am3517, i really need your help for sharing it.

ye, it is good way, i find i just can do is moving them and modify them for 3517-evm.dts.
by the way, have you some suggestion for omap3-evm.dts, there are a lot of defects in this dts, i find omap3-cm-t3730.dts is more better than omap3-evm.dtsi.
