Hi,

I have a design based closely on the TI AM3359 ICE 2.1 EVM and I am having difficulty loading software on the new board. I have flashed the FTDI device with the XDS100v2 image.

The design is almost identical to the ICE V2.1 with the NOR flash removed. The sysboot resistors and sysboot jumber are indentical to the development board.

It looks like data cannot be written to DDR3. Can anyone provide some information to debug the issue? I see the AM335x user guide has some debugging documentation for the bootloader, but I am not sure where to start.

Hi Igor,

What software are you using? The DDR3 memory needs to be tuned in SW before it can be used. See details here:

It turns out we already had the correct timings, but we needed to manually run the GEL initialization script to configure access to the DDR3. On all the evaluation boards we've received, the pre-flashed software already did this, so we were not aware of this step when getting a 'blank' board. We're running into another issue now, but I'll start a new thread, since it has nothing to do with the bootloader.
