Keystone II (K2H06 and K2H12) USB3.0 ESD protection

Why there is no ESD protection mentioned for USBRXM, USBRXP, USBTXM and USBRXP data lines in the KeyStone II Architecture USB 3.0 User Guide (page 2-6)? Does the K2H06 have internal ESD protection for USB3.0 lines?

On the Keystone 2 EVM board rev.1.0 those ESD diodes were added  but were removed in the rev3.0. Also the filter from USBRXM and USBRXP lines was removed.

Which is the right way protect USB3.0 lines?
