K2E MCSDK 3.0.4: Larger than 80MB ramfs

Note: From the MCSDK 3.0.4 release onward, the size of the the rootfs has increased beyond 80MB. As a result use of ramfs is not possible. The filesystem needs to be under 80M for use with ramfs

How can we best overcome that limitation?

The customer is using MCSDK 3.10.

Hi Gunter,
Do customer want to boot with more than 80MB ramfs file size ?
Actually we have used 0x82000000 address for initramfs booting, if it so, we can use upto 80MB ramfs here.

80MB -> 0x500 0000
0x8200 0000 + 0x500 0000 => 0x8700 0000, we reached address of dtb file, so we can't increase the initramfs file size with base address of 0x8200 0000.

The latest MCSDK is 3.01.03.06

I hope, it may be possible if we boot the linux with different physical address.

Ex: 0xA700000 instead of 87000000

The customer wants to boot with something like 120MB. Are you saying to locate the dtb file at 0xA7000000 instead of 0x87000000?

Yes.
Ask customer to change the physical address of kernel and dtb to 0xA000 0000
I didn't tried, ask them to try, please let me know if any issues.
