XDS200: Not working

Hi,

When I try to connect TI DSP to the PC using XDS200 via CCStudio, I get the below error:

Error connecting to the target:

(Error -2131 @ 0x0)

Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).

(Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

I would like to know if the emulator is broken and cannot be repaired or can it be?

Hello Abhishek,

There are a couple of generic things that can be checked to insure the device is operating adequately. First, check the core and IO supply voltage levels at the device to make sure the device supply voltages are in spec then check that your crystal is functioning correctly so that you are certain that a valid clock is being supplied.

Which device and/or development board are you using and which version of CCS are you using? This information will be needed to help guide you through additional debug.

Hi Chuck,

Thank you for the reply. I will check the voltage levels. The device which I am using is C6670 processor. The version of CCS is 5.5.

Hi,
C6670 EVM board does support on board XDS100v1 emulator not XDS200.
Change to XDS100v1 USB probe and see.
