I am not sure how it is possible to use different modulo rule indexes for different carriers in GSM Downlink(with same modulo rule).
Question arises, how AIF2 will come to know what modulo rule index to be used for what DL carrier,i.e.AxC channel ?
This is because AIF2 MODTXRULE registers can be only programmed to send information to AIF2 that the particular modulo rule(modulo, index) can be used for which particular RP3 link(out of 6) and whether it is applicable for control or data channels. I think there is no further granularity to specify to AIF2 regarding which modulo rule index can used for which data channel(i.e.AxC channel). Also while programming AIF2 registers for setting PE channel for GSM downlink, there is no field in any register to specify which modulo_rule_index to use for the partIcular PE channel.
Though Aif2 user guide says that “AIF2 allows for multiple Rules to map to a single channel (each channel represents a AxC or control stream)”
Please clarify about this important issue.Quick response is highly appreciated.
