SINGLE/MULTI channel SPI master?

Single channel master mode means that you are using only one CS (Chip Select) signal/pin, you connect single slave device to the master SPI. SPI[0]_SCS[0]n corresponds to channel 0 (MCSPI_CH0CONF, MCSPI_CH0STAT, MCSPI_CH0CTRL, MCSPI_TX0, MCSPI_RX0). See also TRM, section 21.2.3.6 Single-Channel Master Mode

But I have SINGLE working with chip select/channel 1...

Is it not possible to keep chipselect active between words if you are using MULTICHANNEL?

You can use Single master mode with CS/channel 1.

I am confused.

Can I use SINGLE MASTER mode and then use any chip select I want, 1 or 2 or 3 or 4?

Then I do not understand the limitation? Ofc I cannot set all chipselects at the same time since it would not make sense.

Is the limitation only that I cannot activate several channels at the same time for the round robin handling of channels?

But I can activate one channel, set chip select to active, do my Tx/Rx stuff, deactivate the channel and then choose another channel/chip select?

So I can still use several external devices with one SPI unit?

The J5Eco SPI controller can work in two single master modes (no multi master mode option is available)

1. Single master multi-channel mode

2. Single master single-channel mode

In which mode you need to operate?

Also, you can use any chip select in both modes (single master multi-channel and single master single channel). There is no limitation to use only CS0 in master mode.
