About version of the tool when I use library

When I use a library (.lib file) made by others,
Is it necessary to use the tools (Code Generation Tools and CCS) same as others?

If you want to build the project with this library on CCS IDE then you need CGT (code generation tool) for compilation.

Thank you for your reply.
I tried compilation, and it went well.

I use CCSv3.3.82.13 and CGTv6.1.23,
But tool versions which third party used for library making is unknown,
So I asked.

Even if tool versions are different, can compile library, right?
