How to read/write to the 2GB onboard eMMC on the BeagleBone Black

I was reading the StarterWare User Guide and I saw Nand Driver, MMCSD, and HSMMCSD. Of these, I do not know which one I should use to write to the eMMC. I know that the eMMC is connect to MMC1 on the Proccessor but I do not anywhere in the User Manual about an API to write/reading to this specific location.

Unforturnately, eMMC access isn't supported in the latest version of Starterware. However, it is noted for a future release of which I don't have a timeline.

Please take a look at the below threads, there were some community members in the past who have worked on getting this up. Hopefully it would help.

Please check out the community version of StarterWare from sourceforge.net/.../ , it contains an implementation of eMMC access - but I never have tested it so I don't know anything about it's quality
