Update for flashing eMMC on Beaglebone Black (Sitara Linux)

While successfully programming the eMMC on the Beaglebone Black following this procedure:

the patch at the end of the page to modify U-Boot to boot from TFTP automatically does not work. I tried to apply the patch linked to but it does not take and looking at it's contents reveals that it does not line up with the files to be patched. Can anyone at TI update this so it works?

I am using Debian build 4.1 on the Beaglebone Black.

  • Hi Michael,

This wiki is verified to work with official TI SDKs, I don't think it has been tested with Debian releases. Therefore in order to use the patches provided with the wiki, you need to modify (clean the errors while applying the patches) yourself.

This has actually been stated in the wiki:

    "  Versions

This document has been updated to correspond to the Processor SDK for Linux SDK v1.0 which uses a 3.14 based Linux kernel. It should also work for AMSDK 8.0, as it uses the same Linux kernel and U-Boot version. The steps and software have been validated using these SDKs. For previous versions, please check the archives listed below."

    Best Regards,

    Yordan
