Two ethernet port NIC's on single board.

Hi vageesh,

We have Audio Video Recording Module board which is resemblance of Spectrum Digital DM8168 EVM board, we have two ethernet ports(NIC's) 

on board and configured did as mentioned in the below scenario's.

scenario 1 :
            
    Eth0 - 192.168.0.138 with default gateway 192.168.0.1
    Eth1 - 192.168.1.198 with default gateway 192.168.1.1
Please note here the gateways are two different and both the ethernet ports working(responding).                 

scenario 2 :

      Eth0 - 192.168.0.138 with default gateway 192.168.0.1
      Eth1 - 192.168.0.198 with default gateway 192.168.0.1
With same gateway assigned to two ethernet ports, only Eth0 is responding , Eth1 is not responding.

The catch is we have only one network address(gateway) and we need both of them simultaneously working in single network.

Kindly let us know how we can overcome this issue.

    From below link we have some solutions to configure both the ethernet ports to a single gateway network but on our Spectrum Digital DM8168 EVM board we dont have arping utility to check the configuration with respect to the link.

    could any team member could suggest us how to get this arping utility to proceed with the same.
