Power consumption comparison between F28335, F28069 and OMAPL137 (C674x)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138

Hi,

I would like to have a comparison of power consumption of these 3 MCU (only the core consumption, ALL the peripheral disable).

For the F28335, in SPRS439L is indicated: The baseline Idd when the core is executing a dummy loop .. at 150Mhz.. : is 165 mA

For the F28069, in SPRS698E is indicated: The baseline Idd when the core is executing a dummy loop .. at 90Mhz.. : is 40 mA  (72 mW   Vdd:1.8V)

I guess we may suppose that : For the F28335 at 90Mhz.. : is around 100 mA  (180 mW   Vdd:1.8V)

So does it mean that the core power consumption of the F28335 is two times higher that one of the F28069 ?

However both have a: TMS320C28x CPU and same FPU unit.

Am I wrong ? Could you indicate to me if I am wrong ?

At last when I use the OMAPL137_PowerSpreadsheet_RevC.xls, and disable everything (ARM included) except the DSP and configure the Device Frequency to 90Mhz and % utilization (80%), the result is: 142 mW.  That is lower than the F28335 but above F28069. But in this case it is not the same CPU core so we have also to take into account a ratio of performance. Do you have an approximation of this ratio?

Do you have some power consumption comparison between C600 and C2000 ?

Thanks for your answer
