Hello All,

Am new to the TI Family. I wanted to explore more about the TI Microcontrollers. So, am planning to buy TI development board. I wanted I2c, SPI, McBSP,ADC, UART and other peripherals in my controller. I also wanted to explore the DSP computations like FFT , FIR and so onSo, that i can explore them and get used to the TI controllers.

So, can you please suggest me which development board should i purchase?

Please provide me more details about the development board to be purchased!!

Please refer TI DSP product selection page and use the DSP section tool to select your DSP chip.

Have you looking DSP chip or ARM+DSP chip?

Hello Naveen,

Please check OMAPL138 (ARM+DSP) device if it suits your requirement. If it works for you, you could get the OMAPL138 LCDK (low cost development kit) available in below link.

I knew that you are already using OMAPL137. What is the problem you have seen from that SoC?
How about cost your expecting ?

I think, you can choose OMAPL138 LCDK board and if you don't want ARM then go for C6748 LCDK board (Low cost).
It is low cost development boards.

Thanks for your input.Your absolutely right! Am using OMAPL137 in one of my project. But, now am looking the development board for my other project. In this case am looking for only DSP core chip.

Hi Naveen ,
Then its better to choose C6748 LCDK board.

Still you may need much power DSP then please go with C6678 DSP which has 8 cores.
Keystone 1 devices:
C6678 -> 8 DSP cores
C6657 -> 2 cores
C6670 -> 4 cores

If you want low power DSP then you can choose C5000 series DSP processors.

You may want to consider a C2000 launchpad (~$30) - the F28377S launchpad has the following features:
200 MHz 1MB Flash 164KB RAM 15 PWM Channels, 9 High Resolution (HRPWM)
