Hello,

I  have a BBB, but I'm a begginer.

I'm using the original distribution ( on eMMC) , Debian. And I was trying  to  set the device tree to use the ADC.  I just copied this text:

optargs=quiet drm.debug=7 capemgr.enable_partno=BB-ADC

 At the end of  uEnv.txt,  saved, ejected the BBB and restarted it.  But now,  the board is not working.  Its not recognised by the computer and  all the Leds stay On.

Does anyone knows what is happening and how can I fix it?

    Hi,
    Remove "optargs=quiet" this from uEnv.txt and check.

    Thanks;  But I cant edit the file, because the BBB  stalls on boot,  and  I cant acces the internal memory from the USB... Its  not connecting with the PC.

    I think I can install a new distribution on a SD card and  try to boot the board from the card But I dont want to format the internal memory / original OS. Because I have installed a lot of apps and did a lot of changes and configurations and I dont want to loose them.

    My question is, As the original OS is not working, I wonder if i can try to boot from the SD card to get the board working again,  and therefore try to edit the UEnv.txt to fix it.   So, If I boot the board from another source instead of the internal memory,  I will continue to have acces to the original uEnv.txt file that I crashed to fix it?  Or the file will be  substituited for a new one as I'm booting from another source / another OS?

    Because I think it will have two OS,  the original one with the  crashed file  at the internal memory,  and the new one from the SD card...     So I  wonder what will happen....
