AM4376 header file

You should be able to find AM437X header files in the Industrial SDK, in the Starterware or Examples directory. See processors.wiki.ti.com/.../SYSBIOS_Industrial_SDK_02.01.00.01_User_Guide for more details.

No the Industrial SDK is a different product, based on SYS/BIOS, which is a real-time OS. The Linux SDK can be downloaded here: www.ti.com/.../PROCESSOR-SDK-AM437X

Actually, I already downloaded suggested link for Linux, but as per my knowledge It is Linux OS for AM4376 and I already create SD card with this OS.
Now I want to develop application program to cross-compile into my AM4376 based board and i am developing it in CCS so need header files for it.

I hope its make clear my need.

Hi,

Can you share what kind of application are you implementing?
If it is a user space api & you need register definitions & custom functions then you need to create this yourself.
System headers should be recognized & included by the cross-compiler.

In my Application, I am communicate with Xbee module connected on UART of AM4376, then process the data and send it to Ethernet/USB/UART as per requirement.

If you have sample code in "CCS" or C (for Linux) for AM4376, Then Please share it.
It will help great to reduce development time.

Hi,

As I said, if you need a header files with any custom functions & register address definitions, you need to create it yourself, or browse the starterware examples to see if you can find anything useful & port it to your linux api.

You can check the Documentation folder in linux for description of the available modules apis, but other than that I don't know of any ready to use sources.

Thanks for your reply. I am trying to create header file but found that the datasheet of AM4376 has not peripheral file map table to know addressing of them. Also try to get it from technical reference manual but data not showing proper for addressing.

Hi Bhavdipsinh,

Device TRM has this information. Table 2-1. L3 Memory Map holds the base address of the corresponding module, and the corresponding <Module> Registers table holds the offset of each register.

Lets take as an example GPMC. From Table 2-1 L3 Memory Map, you can see that GPMC configuration registers base address is: 0x5000_0000. Then Table 9-51. GPMC Registers shows the gpmc registers offsets.

I.e. if you want to write to GPMC_CONFIG1_0 register, which has offset 0x60, you need to perform a write operation to the following address:
0x5000_0060 (GPMC Base Address + GPMC_CONFIG1_0 offset).

I have gone through this document, I need your help to define address.

1. there are some registers with same offsets (for example 00h given to three different registers) then how to define them? Please check 21.5.1 in Technical Reference Manual (UART registers).

2. I was developing on MSP430 and in its header file they use SFR8, SFR16, SFR32 for this addressing and which make easy to create header file. i am new and dont understand that method, If you have any docs to get more understanding and easy and error free way to create it then Please share it.
