Difficulties in understanding Register conflict of am4376.

Take some time and read register descriptions. UART_THR is write-only, UART_RHR is read-only, and UART_DLL is selected by bit 7 of UART_LCR register. The TRM is correct.

I had already gone through description of register and my problem is not with their read or write access but its with size of register.
The registers are 16 bit each and my processor is 32 bit so I am not getting how to assign offset to them.

e.g. Base address of UART 0 is 0x44E09000 so how to address these three registers as they are at same offset 0.

Like wise in Ethernet 's base address is 0x4A100000 and its registersCPSW_ALE_IDVER,CPSW_ALE_CTRL are 32 bit each and offset is 4 for each register

When you write 1 to bit 7 of UART_LCR (0x44E0900C) and after that read/write to 0x44E09000 you will access UART_DLL register.

Note you can write only an 8-bit value, upper 8 bits of register are reserved.

When you read you will get an 8-bit value, upper 8 bits of register will read as 0.

I am making an header file of am4376 and in that I want to define UART as list of SFR.

I want to ask if I can define

I am not getting is there any connection with __(double underscore) to the SFR
Means in that given base address and directly writing SFR they get there OFFSET address directly??

Sitara processors have nothing in common with MSP430. If you are interested in bare-metal programming you can download the Industrial SDK from here: downloads.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html Look in the Starterware folder for programming examples. There is also a dedicated Starterware forum: e2e.ti.com/.../790 This forum supports the Linux SDK only.
