5 Port Ethernet Switch's capacity vs Broadcom BCM5389

In our board, we want to connect one 66AK2H14, 2C6678 and 2 FPGA through SGMII with each other.

One solution is like Figure1, BCM5389 is used to connect them all.

The other solution is like Figure2, use the 5 Port Ethernet Switch in 66AK2H14 to implement interconnection between these 5 chips instead of BCM5389.

My question is:

Is the solution in Figure2 OK? The pros and cons vs the solution in Figure1?

One obvious pros is that we can save one BCM5389 which is not a  tiny chip.

And the possible cons is that the interconnection capacity between  one 66AK2H14, 2 C6678 and 2 FPGA will be decreased. Correct?
