Hello,

I am using TCI6638K2K device and I want to configure VLAN between ports. While adding Member List , I detected a detail in ALE_TABLE_WORD0_REG.

I want to configure 4 Mac ports on Ethernet Switch

CSL_FINSR (hCpsw5gfRegs->ALE_TABLE_WORD0_REG, 2, 0, pVlanCfg->vlanMemList)

But as you see, I am able to add just 3 bits to my Member List. It means I can use just 2 Mac Ports and Host ports adding VLAN Member List. How could I add 3.and4.Ports to MemberList?

Could you tell me whether possible or not on TCI6638K2K?

Actually I am trying to understand your query, In the ALE TABLE WORD0 REG 3-7, 11-15, 19-23, 27-31 bits are not assigned.

Could you please elaborate your understanding?

Hello Rajasekaran,

If you look TCI6638K2K Gigabit Ethernet Switch Subsystem for KeyStone Devices User's Guide (Rev. D) documents on your web site, you could see a format to add a VLAN Table Entry (MemberList VLAN_MEMBER_LIST[2:0]). Although device has 5 ports,as you see, seems User could configure just 3 ports(2 Mac Ports and 1 Host Port) . I am asking for configure ( to use ) 5 ports in my Member List so it might be VLAN_MEMBER_LIST[4:0]) instead of VLAN_MEMBER_LIST[2:0]), right?

How could I configure all of ports( 5 ports) in My Member List?

Hi Serdar,

It actually is a 5 bit field for K2K. The document seems to need some updating.

Hi Serdar,

The UG needs to be updated, as the latest in TI.com does not have the proper values for certain registers. I am only allowed to provide data from internal documents to the extent that it corrects these gaps, but not the entire PDF. My apologies for that.
