AM3359ZCZD72 vs. AM3359BZCZA80

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the differences between the AM3359ZCZD72 and the AM3359BZCZA80. I received an end of life notification for the AM3359ZCZD72 and I need to know if it's suggested replacement will work in our existing design.

First one is Silicon Revision 1.0 and 720MHz. Second one is Silicon Revision 2.1 and 800MHz and is a direct replacement. What is the Linux version that you use?

You should review the AM335x Silicon Errata to better understand what was updated in silicon revision 2.1. For example, the polarity of the EXTINTn input changed after silicon revision 1.0.

The kernel version is 3.2 (not sure on minor version). It is from the SDK that comes with AM335x PSP 04.06.00.xx (not sure on minor number here either).

Yes, silicon revision 2.1 devices are supported in SDK6.0. Please take note of the Errata as Peaves recommended. I had forgotten to add this in my previous post.

Besides the silicon errata please also look in the TRM in Section 1.1.3 Feature Identification. There's a subsection in there called "Silicon Revision Functional Differences and Enhancements" that includes the EXTINTn change and several other "goodies". I've been going through a similar transition with another customer. I believe the EXTINTn polarity was the only actual hardware change involved. The other changes were comprehended in software (e.g. updated operating points, etc.).
