How to ensure H.264 encoder is OFF

Hi,

Using IPNC RDK 3.8. Custom hardware. Finished product (IP camera).

Due to thermal constraints I would like to turn the H.264 enconder off for a specific use of our product.

If I just create a usecase that does not stream H.264 it will be enough? Do I have to do something else also (disable u-boot clocks, etc) ?

Hi,

You can call the API 'Venc_disableChn()' to disable the encoding of the channel id passed.

The frames of the disabled channel will be skipped inside the encoder link.

The API mentioned should be called from an A8 thread.
