OpenMP with new SW versions

Hi,

I was trying to build the OpenMP Hello world example for the C6670 with the latest SW versions (CCS6.1.1, XDC 3.31.2.38, IPC 3.40.1.08, SYS/BIOS 6.42.2.29) and I got the unresolved issue regarding ti_omp_utils_HeapOMP_isBlocking__E moving to an old component versions as stated at the omp_1_01_03_02_release_notes solved the issue, are we going to have a newer version for the OpenMP?

This question doesn't seem to be specific to TI-RTOS. I went ahead and moved it over to the device forum in hopes that it will get a faster response there.

Hi Haim Ringel,

The OMP 1.x is not supported anymore. We recommend all customers to port to OMP 2.x for keystone I devices however the OMP has dependency with other packages for building.

The dependent packages are documented in below wiki.

Yes. As of now there is no omp 2.x package readily available for keystone I devices.

The customers has to port omp 2.x using above referred link. Thank you.

For now all steps from link above couldn't be done. There is no mcsdk hpc lib available. Processor SDK contains this lib now. And I can't rebuild openmp_dsp_c667x_2_04_00_01 because there is no needed to be corrected strings in makefile in dir and sclr_device.h file also diffs from link explanation how to correct. Maybe this step don't needed with current version of openmp2.x?

Can you fully explain all changes in steps to rebuild openmp for c6678 usage with current versions of software or can you tell at least old versions af all sdk, libs, css etc with wich openmp projects 100% correctly compilled with no rebuilding?

Solved! Successfully built hello world openmp examle! I've downloaded CCSv5 and old versions of software according to release notes of openmp included in mcsdk 2.01.02.06 (pdk does not needed). And there is no need to act with openmp2.x if you don't want to rebuild libs manually according to manual wich is not actual with new versions of software.
