Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 66AK2L06

Hi all,

The 66AK2L06 Features show that an On-chip Standalone Ram (OSR)(1MB) exists in chip. However, I can't its user manaul. Where to find it? Anyone can give me some tips? Thanks

  • As per device data manual,

The 1MB OSR is added to the device for:
    • QMSS External Linking RAM
    • NetCP1.5 intermediate data buffer
    • Intermediate buffering of other data storage

    The OSR supported features include:
    • SRAM supports ECC with Read-Modify-Write logic
    • RTA memory
    • Support interrupt for ECC error event
    • Support Little and Big-endian modes of operation

OSR does not support any type of cache access, hence this memory space must always be marked as non-cacheable region for both DSP and ARM cores.

Can you please elaborate your query? I will look for additional information and post back if i find it. Thank you.

  • We do not have user’s guide because it is just a memory.

    Thank you.
  • Hi Rajasekaran,
    Sorry for late reply.
In Table 7-1. Device Memory Map Summary for 66AK2L06, page 61, there is some OSR configuration registers. I want to know more details about that OSR configuration. I think that OSR configuration contains some control information about ECC, etc. Thanks

  • Hello Chas,

OSR config space seems to be missing the documentation.

The register contents in that address region are identical to E CC submodule registers for GbE switch module.

    3.5.6 ECC Submodule

Please use the above as reference while we get the documentation updated.

    THank you,
