root login issue.

Hi ,

I have ported UBIFS file system on AM3352 processor using a NAND flash.

I am getting login prompt for my system on console.

While I am trying to do login with root user its not taking a login as a user for that I need to do any other changes in my etc files.

Try login as "root" only.

I am able to do root login with telnet and ftp.but with consloe I am getting error like login incorrect..

Check your terminal settings. They should be 115200-8-N-1.

Hello Rai,

Please, check the /etc/login.defs, /etc/securetty and make sure that the root login is allowed over your current console.

Hi Kamal,

I am able to do loginh with root from telnet and FTP , that means its allowing root user.

But the problem is with the root login only because , for other users also I am able to do login through console.

That is why ,I am suspecting that issue is with the some etc config file.

Over which console are you operating to? What is the output of this command, when you are logged in with another user?
