How to enable ethernet connection to host system? Physical link seems up but no ip number.

See teminal output below:

I have no MATRIX interface control because the touch screen doesn't work ( I recalibrated it to no effect) therefore cannot go to Network Settings icon from the Settings Submenu.

I have a Win7-64 host machine with Ubuntu-64 15.10 VBox guest; my evaluation system is a TMDSSK3358, new out of the box, and that's what is telling me:
