HDMI to VGA converter problem

Hi,

I have hdmi to vga converter,that converter is integrated with am335x aboard but i am nothing getting on display.

Same converter is working fine in linux pc.

Please tell me any driver required for that.

How is it connected to the AM335X? This processor has no HDMI output.

Hi Biser,

Thanks for quick replay.

We are using rgb to hdmi converter (tda998x) add on board for AM335x.
That HDMI port is working good.

Then we are using hdmi to vga converter to the HDMI Port.
Nothing is displaying on Monitor.

Obviously your HDMI output format cannot be converted by the HDMI to VGA converter. I cannot help unless you give me detailed information: what is the HDMI format you output, what is the HDMI to VGA converter part number.

From what I see on the Internet, this is an external adaptor. Check whether you HDMI board provides power on the HDMI connector for this.

As this issue concerns neither the AM335X processor nor software for it, I cannot help you further on this forum.

Hi Biser,

Can help me out this module will support or with am335x rgb to HDMI convereted module with attached module data sheet. Is there any power limitatitons in this case.

Again, this is a third-party product, that cannot be connected directly to AM335X. You must check whether it will be compatible with your HDMI transmitter.
