No even weak pull up on GPIO during reset on BeagleBoneBlack?

I understand we should not apply any voltage to BBB before it boots up, but not eve a 10KOhm pull-up to 3.3V? This seems extreme.

I ran into this problem with the latest hardware of BBB (revision C), just a 10KOhm pull-up to 3.3V to a random GPIO or Serial port will prevent BBB from starting up, but the same pull-up has NO effect on an earlier make of BBB rev C.

Can someone give some insight on this? Thanks!
