Powerlink Stack Problems with AM3359

Good morning,

I've tested the Open Powerlink pre-built lib, alligned with the SDK 1.1.0.1 version in in ICE v1 board.
I've set the node id as described in the corrispondent doc:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_SYSBIOS_Industrial_SDK_01.01.00.02_User_Guide#PowerLink

and connected to a PLC.

Everything works fine but with two big limitations:

FIRST:

  • As described in the top link document, it works:

Port Connection Requirement:

  • Powerlink master should be connected only to Ethernet Port 1 (J3) on ICE or IDK board. Port 1 should be used for uplink traffic.
  • Ethernet Port 0 (J2) can be connected to the next slave in chain. Port 0 should be used for downlink traffic.

but why? I know that Powerlink stack have to work as an hub. If I connect the PLC to the J2 Ethernet Port the PLC doesn't recognize the node.

SECOND:

  • If I connect a second ICE v1 board in a daisy chain or a PLC which works in Slave Mode (as described in the top document, J3 -> PLC Master, J2 -> Second Slave) to have two slave connected, the PLC Master "see" only the first Slave

I've done the same test with another Powerlink stack for AM335 but it works in the same way.

I cannot understand if this is a configuration (my), stack, HW problem,...

Thanks and best regards.
