Support for Remote Proc driver in AM57XX

Hello,

Right now I am working on AM57xx. I have downloaded SDK v02.00.00.00. During "make menuconfig" I come to know that the PRUSS_REMOTEPROC driver is not supported for AM57xx. Can anybody please confirm the same?

Do I need to port PRUSS_REMOTEPROC driver from AM33xx to AM57xx, or TI has plan to support it in next release?

Thanks & Regards,

Rakesh Modi

Where did you get this information? I ran menuconfig on SDK2.0 & I don't see any restrictions to built in the remoteproc driver:

Also have a look at the following guide: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/PRU-ICSS_Getting_Started_Guide

    It states:
"The PRU Software Support Package provides support for the PRU-ICSS Subsystem in AM335x, AM437x, and AM57xx devices. This package contains:

Support for ARM<->PRU interaction via remoteproc and rpmsg Linux drivers

    • Remoteproc supports basic control functions such as firmware load, start/halt, simple debug, and interrupt managing
    • Rpmsg supports message passing"

Nothing indicates that PRUSS_REMOTEPROC is not supported.
