AM3352 - speed grade (full compatible)

Hello guys,

I have one board with an AM3352BZCZD60 and I would like to use some parts of an AM3352BZCZD80 to replace the D60 version because I already have it in my stock. I know they are fully compatible, but I would like to know if when I change this PNs the main clock and peripherals clocks will continuing working on the same speed as the D60 version?

Hi Ricardo,

Difference should be only in the MPU (Cortex-A8) operating speed. Please post what software you are running.

My Software versions are U-Boot-2013.01.01-amsdk-06.00.00 and Kernel-3.2.0-psp04.06.00.11

This depends upon your software... TI's implementation for the AM335x EVM would interrogate the processor and set the operating point to the max supported operating point. If you copied that software then you may see it operating at a different speed.
