GPIO pin current capabalities

Sir ,

I am using AM5728 processor and i am using several GPIO pins to control and also to moniter the regulators ,IC'S etc.

In the datasheet i could not  find the exact details on max output current which i can source while configuring GPIO as output and the max input current which a GPIO pin can withstand when i configure it as a input.

Please do share the details its very important to design the circuit.

    Hi,

    See section 5.6 of the AM572X Datasheet Rev. O. Look at the current for which Voh and Vol are specified. For input current look at Iin parameters.

    This "max input current which a GPIO pin can withstand when I configure it as a input" makes no sense. A digital input does not withstand current, it draws as much current as its input current rating states.
