Is the DualCamera app on the AM4378 Starter Kit supposed to work with the onboard camera module ?

When I try to run the DualCamera app, that ships with the AM4378 Starter Kit, it crashes, no image is visible, and finally the initial matrix screen is shown again. With an additionally connected Logitech C200 USB camera it shows at least the main screen of the app with the buttons and a little frame for PIP but no image from either camera. There is probably not the proper driver for the this Logitech camera installed (don't know if the C200 is fully UVC compliant and/or if the shipped system should work with any UVC device), but I'd expect to see something from the onboard camera OV2659. Is this a hardware problem with the camera module on my board or an app, which is not supposed to work with this hardware ?
