[C6747] MMC/SD interface as a high-speed generic raw data port?

Is there any chance there is a test mode or baseline mode where the MMC/SD controller can be disabled and raw 8-bit data transfers can occur on the 8-bit bus?  If yes, what is the maximum bandwidth to be expected moving data into the DSP?  It would NOT be communicating with an MMC/SD Card.  thanks, Chris

    Unfortunately, there is no such mode of operation for the MMC/SD controller interface.  Would the UHPI interface be useful for your needs?  You may have those pins allocated for another purpose, but wanted to explore that option.

    The TMS320C6748 has a Universal Parallel Port (UPP) that can support 8-bit parallel data transfer.

    Some people like to use the EMIFA asynch-mode for general purpose data transfers to FPGA.

    I see that you have multiple posts querying about throughput/bandwidth using UHPI vs EMIFA vs MMC/SD. Brandon has also suggested uPP as a possible interface. Are these queries independent? If I may ask, what are your bandwidth requirements and has any of the responses on the various module feature/bandwidth support, help meet your bandwidth needs?
