Hi,

Please help with this AM57x question:

Video, image USB3 vision / camera sensor - Can A15 “handle” USB3 camera sensor input (video, images) in a timely manner? Need to follow up regarding the latency needs to determine the feasibility. Application will be using full throughput of the USB3 and detailed discussion about targeted needs & AM57x limits would be useful.

From the hw perspective, AM57x USB3 uses Isoch periodic transfers to receive video data from the sensor, the timing is determined by the video FPS requested. Then sw should ensure any latency added by sw is still acceptable before deliver the video frames to applications. In Linux, the kernel implements V4L2 spec, which has frame timing control.
