I am new to the Linux 4.1.6 version of Linux and device tree. Does AM5728 SDK ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-02.00.00.00 Linux kernel has the board specific file like linux-4.1.6+gitAUTOINC+52c4aa7cdb-g52c4aa7/arch/arm/mach-omp2/board-XXX?

Where does the initial kernel initialization is done?

Hi,

The TI distributed Linux SDK no longer supports board files. The last version where this was supported is kernel v.3.2. Later versions are based on device trees.

then "arch/arm/boot/dts/am57xx-beagle-x15.dts" is the device tree file for the AM5728 right?
