VC5507: Confirm the GPIO

Hi TI Experts.

Please let me confirm the following question.
[Question.1]
Would you please teach me the GPIO pins status after power up?

* According to the datasheet, I could not find the description of GPIO6 on Signal Descriptions section. This pis is explained as the pin number is "C4" on Pin Assignments table. But C4 is explained as GPIO9 on Signal Descriptions section. So I am so confuse. Would you please also check this one?

[Question.2]

Would you please show us the way how to terminate the unused GPIO pins on C5507?

[Question.3]
Would you please explain more detail of Bus Keeper?

Thank you for your response.

For question.2. I am not cleared the means of "reset condition" status as below in Suggested Guidelines for Terminating Emulation and Unused Pins on the VC5503/5506/5507/5509A DSPs on this document.
> GPIO0 = 1: Output, EMIF.A[13:0]
> GPIO0 = 0: Input, external pins. HPI.HA[13:0]
What is the means of "GPIO0"?

Please let me confirm the following question in addition to above question.

For Question.3, I checked that URL which you posted but I could not understand the means of "R/W-" and "SHZ-".
What is those parameters? Can we control the setting values for R/W- and SHZ-?

To address your last 2 posts:

For Q1,

You might be confused assuming C4 as signal name in the pin assignment table, but that is Ball #.

Signal C4 is assigned to Ball# H4 &
Ball #C4 is assigned to GPIO6.

Pin assignment table and the signal mapping table should be correct.

For Q2, please section 3.5.1 of the C5507 datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tms320vc5507.pdf

For Q3, Read/write. R/W is high when a read is performed and low when a write is performed over the parallel interface. SHZ- Shutdown high impedance. This is mentioned in the TMS320VC33 datasheet. I'm not sure if these are controllable in C5507.

Hi Lali,

Thank you for your response.
I could understand the general outline of them.

For Q3, SHZ- is pin for the TM320VC33 device but C5507 does not have this pin.
So, it seems that C5507 does not support this logic.

Hi Kaka-san,

There is no SHZ pin in C5507 device. The bus keeper is controlled by configuration through external bus selection register (BKE bit).

BKE = 0: Bus keeper, pullups/pulldowns enabled
BKE = 1: Bus keeper, pullups/pulldowns disabled

BKE is 0 by default which means pullups/pulldowns enabled

The question is what would be the state of these pins

As per the datasheet 5.8.3

BK group: Pins with bus keepers, holds previous state during reset. Following low-to-high transition of RESET, these pins go to their post-reset logic state.
BK group pins: A’[0], A[15:0], D[15:0], C[14:2], C0, GPIO5, DX1, and DX2
