The VC5505 eZdsp doesn't have the memory bus pinned out, so it is not possible to add a memory card.

Have you looked at the C5515 eZdsp (http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdx5515ezdsp.html)? It has the features you mentioned (LCD, memory, pushbottoms) already integrated.
