Difference between TMDXEVM437X and TMDSEVM437X evaluation boards

Hi,

What is the difference between the now obsolete TMDXEVM437X board and it's replaccement TMDSEVM437X ?

And I heard there were problems the board could not boot from USB flash drive and the processor had to be replaced to make this possible is this true?

Regards

MJP

  • TMDX boards are initial version, produced in a limited quantity. TMDS is the final product. As for your second question, this would depend on the processor silicon revision. TMDX boards were produced with r1.1 silicon and there are errata related to this silicon as described in the AM437X Errata document. Current TMDS boards are produced with r1.2 silicon.
