Folks,

I am trying to run EtherCAT CTT v1.20.80.0 with my ICE, but I can't connect to my EtherCAT slave. However, I am able to connect to TwinCAT (both 2.11 and 3.1) with no problem or complains.

Whenever I try to scan for a EtherCAT box, I get the following message:

My ESI works well with TwinCAT. Why not with CTT? What does that error mean?

Hi,

Which version of SDK ?

protocols\ethercat_slave\ecat_appl\esi\TI_ESC_CTT.xml is recommended to use with patch mode application of ICEv2

Hi,
I am using 1.0.0.8 starterware sdk for ICE (I do not have ICEv2). I made my ESI from the example given with the SDK. I just added things on top of whatever was available.

The problem was that my ESI file was incomplete. It was missing the correct object description, and wrong object bit sizes
