Does AM335x support booting from TC58NYG2S0HBAI4?

Hi,

Does AM335x support booting from following nand flash?
TOSHIBA: TC58NYG2S0HBAI4
toshiba.semicon-storage.com/.../docget.jsp
The Device ID is 0xAC.
This Device ID is listed in Table 26-14 Supported NAND Devices of TRM.
This NAND flash is comprised of the following.
(4096 + spare 256) *64 bytes pages X 2048blocks

There are following mentions in 26.1.7.4.1 Features of TRM.
Support for large page size (2048 +64 4096 +128 bytes spare bytes) or very large page size bytes /)
218 spare bytes)

The spare size of this NAND is 256 byte, is there a problem?

Hi,

If the NAND is ONFI-compliant OR included in Table 26-14, then it will be supported.

The NAND does not support ONFI compliant but the NAND supports Device ID included in Table 26-14.

There are following mentions in 26.1.7.4.1 Features of TRM,but the spare size of this NAND is 256 bytes, is there a problem to use it?

• Support for large page size (2048 bytes + 64 spare bytes) or very large page size 4096 bytes + 128 /218 spare bytes)

There shouldn't be a problem using this NAND.
