Hello,

In our Design we need to capture 3 Video input simultaneously and to display Three Video outputs - 1) Analog PAL and one HD-SDI Out and One HDMI output .

Can sitara processor do----Encode, Decode, Transcode Operations

– H.264, MPEG2, VC1, MPEG4 SP and ASP.

And can i connect HD-SDI serializer to the LCD port of AM5728 ?

Is this Sitara processor support Line multiplexing video in Hardware and in Software SDK?

Hi,

Inputs resolution cab be 1920X1080 and 720X576... similarly both of these resolutions are needed on output

[Manisha] Yes. AM57x has VIP (video input port) IP that has inbuilt parser supporting both line and pixel de-multiplexing.

AM578' LCD( Video out port ) can be 16 bit or 24 bit video data. And i want to output as "HD-SDI" (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) for this i want to convert this parallel video data into serial data using Serializer (GS2972). The GS2972 will accept 20 bit data in SMPTE mode.I just want to confirm from TI that can i connect this LCD port (DP2) to the serializer directly so that i can get HD-SDI Output.

as multiplexing support is there in dm8168 harware too.. but not in EZSDK.. that was provided by TI. Please verify that Inbuilt parser supporting multiplexing both in Hardware as well as in software ?

I am not aware of EZSDK. VIP driver in AM57x PROC SDK supports demultiplexing. This has not been tested by PROC SDK as the AM57x GPEVM has single camera. Multichannel capture is tested on GLSDK that uses same VIP driver.
