Hello,

Our use cases:- PAL camera---> FPGA-----> AM5728----->HDMI Display

In AM5728 we would like to do some video processing through DSP and also encode the Video and store it on Flash simultaneously and also display the processed video over HDMI/ LCD. Will AM5728 able to achieve 25fps in this use case both in hardware and software?

Hi,

Inputs resolution cab be 1920X1080 and 720X576... similarly both of these resolutions are needed on output

This is doable by both hardware and software. You can prototype the use case using gst-launch and can verify it on AM57x GPEVM.

I would also like to confirm, how much fps you guys are able to achieve through "Video Analytics example"?
Because may be we will have to use DSP + GPU to achieve our use case.

We are planning to use AM5728 in number of projects. So we need to verify this.

The hand gesture detection/wave surface simulation/wave surface rendering demo pipeline runs at 18-20 fps. For other algorithms (e.g. smoothing, canny) the pipeline runs at 33-35 fps. The input capture is at 640x480 resolution.
