OMAP L138 EVM LCD graphics sample code

Hi there,

I have EVM and Logic LCD Display kit connected to it. When I ran the sample code test_lcd_graphics to test LCD, LCD only displays the solid blue color though I can see

the code goes through all the solid colors. The code hangs there. When I halt the program, a pop window appears "Code Composer could not locate: evmomapl138_timer.c"..

Could you point out what are the possible causes for this?

I've seen this happen when the LCD board isn't fully plugged into the base board. Can you verify it's all the way in?

As for the timer.c, try using the Step Out debug option and see if that brings you to the LCD code, where you can see where you are stuck.

Hi Jeff,

I checked the connection. The LCD board is indeed plugged into the baseboard. I downgraded DSP/BIOS and PSP. not sure if that helps, but now the code can enter the forever loop of LED blinking. Still only the solid blue is displayed.

Make sure you have the GEL files from the Logic BSL loaded on both the ARM and DSP windows in CCS. Reset the board, then connect to the ARM, followed by the DSP. Load and run your program and it should. work. If you dont have the gels loaded before connecting, you won't see the LCD output.

I use CCS 3.3 and XDC100. So I cannot connect to both ARM and DSP. I can see the LCD output. The full screen solid blue appears on the screen. when I changed the code to display another color at first, the screen was that color. I tried the project in folder evmc6748_v1. The correct color pattern appeared on the screen.
