Regarding AM437x port to yocto project with navit (Navigation Software) support?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am using AM437x Sitara processor. I want to use yocto project with navit (Navigation software). Is it possible to port to yocto project ? Will Navit be installed on the yocto project? If, yocto project is not possible to port with AM437x, Can Ubuntu be used along with the navit software?  Please suggest the best solution. I want to use hot shutdown also using AM437x with linux. Which is the best operating system  to use navit  (navigation software ) and hot shutdown  ?
