I have a handheld application that needs to provide video encoding capabilities at 720P60 (H.264 if possible). Additional processor load is modest -- UI, OSD, low-bandwidth comm, histogram analysis/modification (histogram stats are captured externally in camera HW). Since this is a handheld application, low power is the primary consideration after functionality. Both the OMAP and DaVinci parts seem to meet the encoding requirement but I'm having trouble comparing them in terms of power consumption (typical and max). I'd appreciate any guidance I can get from the experts in this group. -- Thanx
