DM8148 Mcasp

Hi Mike,

The DM814x McASP audio driver supports the below sample rates:

Multiple sample rates support (8KHz, 11.025KHz, 16KHz, 22.05KHz, 32KHz, 44.1KHz, 48KHz, 64KHz, 88.2KHz and 96KHz) for both capture and playback.

Do you need to configure the McASP audio driver for 48.1KHz sample rate?

For which from the codec side what is the following I need to set:
Slot size ?
Word size ?
DSP mode options ?

In the link which you shared it mentions the the audio codec is connected to mcasp in i2s interface but looking at the driver code
davinci-evm.c the format is

TI81xx Audio (McASP) driver support by default 48KHz sample rate (and many other sample rate values), no need for any modification. The selection of the 48KHz sample rate (or any other) is done at user/application level with:

1. arecord/aplay tools
2. snd_pcm_hw_params_set_rate(), snd_pcm_hw_params_set_rate_near()

Let me clarify. Your question is not concerning DM814x McASP module, but external audio codec?
