Hi community,
this is my first post here: A happy 'Hello' from frozen Germany! So let's get to business:
I think about using the AM3358 (BeagleBoneBlack) for implementing an EtherCAD master stack in Linux. I know that an usual Ethernet switch does not support real time applications. Will the integrated switch also be problematic?
In the AM335x CPSW (Ethernet) Driver's Guide it says that i can use the interfaces in "Dual Standalone EMAC Mode". Does this truly switch off the switch and give me real-time capability on one or both ports? If no, what are my alternatives? I saw a solution using an external MAC via SPI, is that it?
Regards / Grüße
Dominic
